Ask Memory is the synthesis layer. It retrieves relevant notes, answers only from those notes, and attaches source links to the claims it makes. Follow-up questions keep recent conversation context so “What did I say about that?” can resolve what “that” means.

    The transcript and optional Clean version become the durable note. Successful cloud transcription does not turn raw audio into permanent memory.

What is voice memory?

Voice memory is a searchable record of notes you deliberately dictate. Instead of leaving each transcript inside one app, it keeps the text available so you can find an idea by its words or meaning and return to the original note.

Does AudioArcher listen all the time?

No. AudioArcher records only when you start dictation. It is not a passive microphone, and it does not continuously record your screen, meetings, or surroundings.

What is the difference between Search and Ask Memory?

Search returns matching notes for you to inspect. Ask Memory retrieves relevant notes and produces a grounded answer whose claims link back to those sources. If the retrieved notes do not support an answer, it says so.

Can voice memory find an idea when I do not remember the exact words?

Yes. AudioArcher supports keyword filtering and a separate search-by-meaning action. Meaning search uses note embeddings to retrieve related notes even when your query uses different wording.

Can I export or delete my voice memory?

Yes. AudioArcher settings include a Markdown export of your active memory and an option to permanently delete your account and cloud data.
